AEM will stick in my gut for a long time. My normal trading plan is to add to the run but I did not. I have been hearing too much about not adding to losers. I got out with a small loss but then I allowed that to prevent me from doing the next trade which was a big winner - Ouch.

Thursday: And they sucked. Monday I was too pumped up on the open and made a trade I normally never made. The funny thing is if I did not move my stop so close - it would have worked. I got stopped and was pissed and then in seconds made a mindless trade chasing crude short - second big mistake. By the time , i took a real trade - my head was so screwed up - I chickened out soon after getting in and that one would have worked. So if I would have allowed 1 and 3 to work and not taken 2 because I was pissed at 1. It would have been a great day.

This stupid mind set stayed with me on Tuesday when again I got out of a trade for no reason only to see it move $2000 with out me.

It could have been a great week but it really sucked because I am trading like a little child now.

The stupid trade of the week - watching the wrong picture - 10/16/2010

Lots of notes on the charts - hope it makes sense. It is like a knife in my gut looking at these charts. It is bad enough that I spend too many time looking at 1 minute charts. Some of my chat friends scream at me to look at 5 minute charts or use 5 minute charts as a stop but above my eyes got glued on to a 89 tick chart. Sometimes they are good for setting stops and hitting targets.

This above is my problem. My brain is wired that it is success or failure in under 5 minutes on a trade and I prove over and over if I give a trade 10 minutes or more - my successes will pay for my failures a couple of times over.

If I do not solve this - I will never make good money out of trading. It has become that simple.

I need to place a trade and as soon as iti s filled - double check my stop and good make a cup of coffee and take a piss. That should kill just enough time to let the trade work if it is going too.

I wimped out of too many trades this week. Just hitting on one would have made me happy. Lunch money for the week - net +86. I am doing a weekly summary instead posting each day. I want to train myself to focus on trading not the dollars and cents.
