Economy around here

A lot of specialty stores are closing around here plus a high end restaurants and gas stations. They are being replaced by more liquor stores - many are drive thru - weird. On the other hand, a lot of houses in poorer areas are getting completed after standing half finished for years.

Thursday and Friday

No trades for me and no big mouth stocks. The Big Mouth is listing lists of stocks and it is much harder to game.

I wished I watched Friday a little closer. The market was doing nothing but the steels were red hot.

Balls or No Balls 1/6/2010

Balls or No Balls - that is the question. There are three ways to play big mouth stocks. First - hit the open with your orders and hang on. Second - hit the open with a part of your order then quickly determine if you hit it again quickly if it declines or continue to short more as it goes higher. Third - hoping it does not decline right way, wait for the stock to lose its upward momentum, then short the crap out of it.

You must determine if this is a pump, pop and dump stock using method one or two or a pump, bigger pop and dump stock(method three is better). I find it very hard to wait for a roll over when most of these stocks do not roll over.

I think the best method most of the time is the second but once in a while you will get you head handed to you. The trades above are one I should have and planned to short a little on the open and continue to short on the first pop hoping my head is not handed to me.

So did I trade my plan - I had no guts - no balls. I hit the open but did not add and then covered once I got close to break even. If I traded the plan (hard to do), I would have made good money (+$1000) instead losing $125.

No balls - no profits. I got to find my balls some where. I think they are somewhere on the floor.

Tuesday Big Mouth Stocks and Review 1/5/2010

I did not have much time to trade today but I am proud that I tried to milk a trade for as much as I could. I did short one of the big mouth stocks and made a little money.

I am using my new computer now to write on my charts. It will take some getting use to as it has been a pain learning Windows 7.

Happy New Year Everyone

This has been a crazy year.

The Bad - Nearly lost my daughter. My other half had some medical issues. I nearly lost my job. I had medical issues. My divorced parents are at war with each other again. The economy period.

The good - I did not lose my daughter in fact my relationship with her is the best it has ever been. My daughter is living a much healthier life style after 7 years of abuse. Also she seems to have the first boyfriend that I would approve of. My job was saved when I took a different position and I actual enjoy my job for the first time in many years. The medical issues are mostly gone. My other half and I nearly finished painting the entire townhouse(a 3 year journey). We have also furnished the remaining rooms completely (a 10 year journey - lol). I went on two great trips - Hong Kong (bungee jumping) and Key West (Para-sailing). And things could not be better between me and my Pookie (other half). And I can't forget having my first big ass TV in my life (the football season was amazing in HD).

All in all - a very stressful year but I end it with a smile on my face.

Because I got my daughter back. I do not know what life would have been like with out her.
