I tried trading RIG. I got in when it broke out of its opening range at 47.20. In seconds, I had a 16 cents gain then a 5 cent loss then back to a gain then loss and when I had a gain again - I took it like an idiot. The stock then ran 80 cents where I lost my stomach during those few seconds. I was in the trade a total of 45 seconds. I need to place an order where an emergency stop and walk away.

The trade off the oil numbers did not trigger after setting up. I swear I will get to and take that trade one day.

Stupid Monday - important for me to read over and over - 6/28/2010

The chart above has a lot of details. Bottom line is I allowed a fucked up trade Sunday night to effect my plan for Monday morning.

I had expected a pop of 30-40 cents soon after the open of the Big Mouth Stock OVTI just like its sister stock CRUS. With the market being sick like, I wanted to short the open just in case it started falling right off the bat. I had the plan to continue shorting 20 and 40 cents up then adding on a new low. The market opened - I got filled and OVTI ran up 40 cents and I had no stomach to follow the plan. I then panic and covered then got pissed and sold again and then covered for a very small gain making only my broker happy.

This kind of trade drives me crazy that my plan nails the stock but I chicken out and screw it up.

I was very stupid last night. Out of what I guess was boredom - I shorted a new low in the YM futures only to see my stop taken out in an insane 90 second move up.

I really screwed up the mental game today. Once the trade was done in OVTI - I was useless.

To add insult to injury - I wanted to go long OVTI if it took its mid-morning peak out at 23.40 and it did running 80 cents. Also to do the same with CRUS at 16.65 and it ran 75 cents.

Above are the 4 Big Mouth Stocks of the day. One was an easy winner. One was a winner and the other 2 were dead in the water. I tried to short MRVL My orders were at 18.44 and 18.58. I did not get filled. I moved one order to 18.40 quickly but still did not get filled. I could have filled a boatload at 18.35 but chickened out at that point. I did have a little success at other places but both times banked my profits too soon.

I decided to join Stewie's clan. Why - my life is busy and I try to trade the same stocks over and over. I have my own system for the Big Mouth Stocks but they suck right now and the Big Mouth is talking more in lists than anything. So I hope Stewie and his chat gang will give me more ideas to look at on the go and in a manner I can trade off of with my schedule. Friday it worked that way for two trades - PXD and XEC. Seldom I would never look at them and both trades worked. You can check him out here. He is one of the good guys - a good trader, a hot wife and a new cute baby girl.

I picked this day to be very aggressive with them and got my head handed to me. i made matters a lot worse when I blew two places where my stops should have been placed. The last 3 months there has been 4 days were you really should not have shorted the Big Mouth stocks and I have been aggressive on 3 out of those 4 days - ouch.
