No Big Mouth Stocks for Monday but some Forex

There was no big mouth stocks for today. I did look at the Forex markets for the first time in a month and the action is interesting. I write for the Trading Goddess blog site and my latest and only update for a month is here.

I would add to that post now by saying you should be long the EURO spot and if you are in the mood for riskier trades you could short the Loonie here and the Swiss Franc if it goes lower tomorrow.

Friday Morning Thought 8/3/2007

The jobs report is out and the YM dropped about 50 points. Just before the numbers they had rallied for 25 points. Why I do not know but someone had a guess. The EURO gained about 30 pips and that might be the morning sell point. After the numbers come out, I look at the reaction and the re-reaction to the numbers trying to game things. If the EURO comes back to unchanged and starts moving higher then its a buy in my books. I never trade in the first 15 minutes after a very good number. The EURO might be setting up for a buy under 137.0 risk 25 pips and I would figure out at the end of the day if I hold it or not.

EURO part two 7/6/2007

The EURO for me pulled a prefect setup for a trade and I missed it. A new event (Jobs report) pushed it to a new low (weekly) and then it bounced back into the range. I usually wait 15 minutes and a retest before I trade a news event. If you look at the charts, it was a near perfect buy say in the 1.3575 area on the retest. I should have bought two lot, sold one in the afternoon and kept the other over the weekend. The EURO continues to be a pain in my side because I just can't seem to pull my head out of my ass to trade it.

EURO 7/6/2007

This EURO is a pain in my side. With the job report, it gave a brief entry point this morning for a short term play. The EURO on the jobs report went to a week low then came back. That was a buy signal - maybe for a 50 pip move or so. I am hoping it would pull back to the 1.35 area. That would be a good place to buy for a test of the recent highs.

Euro thoughts 6/8/2007

With the big break in the EURO (interest rates in US going crazy), I am now looking for the EURO to maybe make a bottom in the 1.3200 range instead. I would like to see a couple of more big down days followed by a sdieways action just like the decline in December of last year. That I think would be a perfect setup.

I also agree with MT on the idea RACK is setting up around 12 for a swing. It looks like a low risk trade with a lot more upside than downside.

Euro Thoughts 6/1/2007

I am trying to look at the Forex more for long term plays. I am hoping the EURO bottoms in the 133.50-133.75 before moving higher. The recent moves have been long and drawn out. I will start a position in the 134.00-134.25 if we keep moving sideways for a while. My target would be 10 handles or more.
