I do not know how this is going to effect my trading or my blogging but my main (and older) trading crashed last night. I think the Mother broad or memory went. It was time to replace it but I was not ready for this. I had been doing backups from time to time but with my daughters events this summer, I had not done one for 3 months. I also missed an important directory with trading in it. What a pain in the ass!!!!!
Denarii,
ReplyDeleteCan you transfer your hard disk to your other computer?

ReplyDeleteI am going to try to do that using an USB interface. I hope that what died on my PC was the Mother broad. The stupid thing was 4 years old or so and I needed to replace it anyway.
ReplyDeleteSucks dude. I know the feeling all to well. It happens to all of us at one point or another.
ReplyDeleteI recently lost my hard drive on my business computer (thought I had a proper image made using Norton, but NO!). Been working for weeks to get it back to as close as possible to where it was before. (at least I didn't lose the data on the old C drive and was able to turn it into a slave).
Now am looking at implementing a RAID 1 (mirroring) feature of the mother board.
Then just the other day Comcast internet went south, thought I had it a nice back up in Yahoo DSL feed into my Dual WAN router. But no, it had stopped working and I didn't know it. LOL.
Gotta just smile and keep plugging along.
Best of luck getting back up and running.
